Emergency Shelter
The YWCA-AWS is a 27 bed facility that provides the only 24 hour, 7 day a week emergency shelter to women with or without children that are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless due to domestic violence in Memphis/ Shelby County.
Crisis Hotline
YWCA-AWS offers the only domestic violence crisis hotline in the city. The hotline is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Through the crisis line, advocates are available to assist clients with safety planning, crisis counseling, domestic violence prevention information, and social service referrals.

How you can help:
Shelter items that are always needed:
- Bleach, pine sol, disinfectant sprays, powder laundry detergent
- Deodorant, soap, feminine supplies
- Dish washing liquid
- Diapers ( all sizes, high demand for sizes 4,5,6)
- Cleaning Supplies (powder washing detergent, disinfectant, etc.)
